Our Preschool & Kindergarten Staff
Our teachers are the heart of our school! With many years of experience, our teachers bring a unique and diverse educational experience to the children. All of our teachers have completed training in child development and early childhood education at a qualifying college. Willow Glen Academy also provides regular in-house training in the school’s daily operation.
The needs and safety of each child is the emphasis of the in-house training to ensure that each child thrives in our environment. All of our staff are trained in CPR and First-Aid as well as Epi-Pens for those children who have the need for one. Our teachers are also aware of special diets for those who may have an allergy or sensitivity to certain foods.

Shannon Johnson
Shannon has been teaching for over thirty years. She has experience working with infants through school-age children. She has held various roles, such as Teacher’s Aide, Head Teacher, and Assistant Director.
Shannon believes that teaching should be fun, encouraging and uplifting. She loves working with children and overseeing their social and mental development.
Shannon enjoys being outdoors and working out.
Teresa Chipres
Teresa Chipres has been an Early Childhood Educator for many years. Beginning as a Teacher’s Aid, she fell in love with the childcare field. She decided to go to school and became qualified as a Preschool Teacher.
Teresa enjoys the high energy the children have, as well as, their curious natures. She finds inspiration in working with children and hopes to continue her great career with Willow Glen Academy for years to come. Teresa also teaches in both English and Spanish.
